Moxy was founded in 2022 with a vision to address three opportunities:

  • Providing consistent labour resources in a tight labour market

  • A lack of cleaning companies with the ability to scale

  • An absence of a consolidated service offering that removes management pains for property managers and hosts

We have since grown to be the largest provider of Short-Term Rental cleaning services on the Sunshine Coast with more than 150 properties under contract for cleaning and linen hire.

We focus on our employees as much as our customers and therefore build a solid & high-performing team, while relentlessly focussing on service and making it easy to do business with us.

  • Soenke Weiss, CEO

    Soenke founded Optii Solutions in Brisbane, creating a global technology niche and enhancing hotel housekeeping profitability through patented AI software. The company, now based in Austin, Texas, serves major international hotel chains across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. In 2021, it was acquired by the MCR Corporation.

    Skilled in team building and business scaling with a master’s degree in Marketing & Finance, Soenke now concentrates on assisting local businesses in overcoming challenges arising from current labor shortages.

  • Marilia Fernandes, Talent & Quality Manager

    Marilia, hailing from Brazil, is a skilled labor lawyer with a profound enthusiasm for recruitment and quality control.

    At Moxy, she spearheads the crucial task of ensuring our team is not only adequately sized but also well-equipped to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

    With a dedicated focus on optimizing workforce efficiency, Marilia plays a pivotal role in aligning our resources to deliver exceptional results in every aspect of our operations.

  • Dan Mills, Workforce Planning Manager

    Dan's career commenced with the Accor group, where he gained extensive experience in housekeeping, rooms operations, and front office management. In his role as head of the front office team, he efficiently managed daily hotel operations and served as the primary interface between stakeholders – including the team, guests, and owners.

    At Moxy, Dan assumes the role of master of ceremonies, ensuring the timely delivery of our service promise with unwavering dedication.

  • Nathan Vaughan, Operations Manager

    With an impressive 15-year track record in housekeeping and hotel management, including his recent tenure at the French Quarter Resort in Noosa, Nathan is at the heart of Moxy’s mission control, working closely with Dan to enhance communications with our clients and team members. He also spearheads the seamless onboarding of new properties and focuses closely on property care, ensuring that all holiday properties shine at their brightest for guests.
